What's New in the National Motocross Championship in 2022

We are approaching the start of the 2022 season, with news in the format of the National Motocross Championship.

The objective is to create the right schedule in the evolution of the pilot, aligned with the championships across borders, in order to reinforce the bet on the training and evolution of pilots in their careers.

The MX65 and MX85 championships will be present in practically all the rounds of the National Motocross Championship, while the MX50 will also be in some of the CNMX, and others in more accessible circuits, which allow the right evolution of young athletes.

As for the main tiers, the format of an MX2 sleeve, an MX1 sleeve and the MX Elite sleeve is back. The big news are the other classes running together with MX2 and MX1.

As far as the MX2 sleeve is concerned, it also counts for the new MX125 Junior championship. This change aims to give the right continuity to the riders that come up from MX85, as well as the piloting bases, and also to profile with the EMX125 European championship.

In MX1, a new Championship now appears. These are MX Veterans. There are increasingly better drivers who turn at least 36 years old in the calendar year of the respective championship, now having the possibility to count towards this new challenge.

The paytable has been strengthened. There will be more prizes up for grabs, both in the MX2 and MX1 rounds, as well as in the MX Elite round.

A reinforcement of the image and dissemination of the sport is also being carried out, raising the visibility of pilots, teams, organizations and sponsors.

All details will be revealed with the publication of the General Motocross Regulations 2022, to be announced in the coming weeks.
